Steven
Dale Stenzel is a photographer originally from Wells,
Minnesota. He studied at the College of Visual Arts in
St. Paul, Minnesota where he graduated Magna Cum Laude
with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. He recently finished
his Graduate Studies at the Minneapolis College of Art
and Design where he worked on his MFA Thesis with Minneapolis
photographer Alec Soth. He is currently a professor at
the University of Minnesota, the College of Visual Arts,
and Brown College. He is constantly working on his personal
work, which has been shown throughout the US.
Steve is a highly committed and professional photographer.
He has learned to work on tight schedules and meet deadlines
quickly. He has a good eye for composition and detail
which supports the near narrative quality of his work.
His work has been shown in galleries around the nation
and his work is in numerous personal and private collections.
His latest work has been seen in PhotoSpiva 2005,
a national photography exhibition in Missouri; Illuminance,
a biennial photography exhibit in Texas; The ReFresh
Print Biennial at the University of Wisconsin; Art
on the Plains 7 at the Plains Art Museum in North
Dakota; and 2-D-2, International Juried Show
at the Energy Gallery in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Steve currently resides in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood
of St. Paul, Minnesota with his wife, plants, kittens,
and desire for more room for camera gear.
